Jewellery Care
Looking after your pieces
A little care and plated jewellery lasts years rather than months.
Put your jewellery on last, after perfume, hairspray and moisturiser. Those are what wear plating away, far more than daily use.
Take it off before showering, swimming or sleeping. Chlorine and salt water are the fastest way to dull a finish.
Wipe pieces with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and store them apart from one another so they cannot scratch. The pouch or box it came in is the best place for it.
Beaded and strung pieces should be lifted rather than pulled, and stored flat rather than hung, so the thread is not left under tension.
